Visualize your custom Cadillac Escalade before you buy it using this new online tool

Dealerships

The redesigned Cadillac Escalade comes in eight interior color and trim options, multiple 22-inch wheel options, and a variety of paint job colors. The luxury arm of General Motors is now offering new SUV shoppers the opportunity to visualize their new Escalade before they sign on the line via a new online tool.

The Cadillac Escalade visualizer uses a 3D model of the Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum as its base vehicle. It allows customers to feast their eyes on every angle of the new SUV. They can choose a paint color and see how the light bounces off the Escalade's beefy body, choose between a number of wheel options, then dive deep inside the interior.

Cadillac has designed the tool to be mobile-friendly and intuitive.

"The visualizer allows customers to engage with the 2021 Escalade right from their phone or desktop, six months before the vehicle is available in showrooms," said Robert Benbow, Cadillac Escalade marketing manager. "And it will only get better over time."

Like the usual vehicle configurators, the image of the Escalade changes as the user changes their inputs. Cadillac will update the trim levels, colors, wheels, and interior options are more models become available throughout the lifecycle of the Escalade.

Cadillac is pushing this visualizer as part of a broader initiative to change the way buyers shop for cars. The company recently launched interactive digital showroom experiences in five states.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade was introduced earlier this month in Los Angeles by Spike Lee. Along with a big new body, the model has an industry-first curved OLED screen. The SUV will also include an expanded version of Cadillac's Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.

Cadillac tapped Oscar-winning director Regina King to introduce the Escalade at last night's Academy Awards ceremony. Following the Oscars, an ad campaign she directed and starred in, will begin airing.

Hollywood

Regina King has starred alongside Hollywood heavyweights Jamie Foxx and Kiefer Sutherland. Now, she's teaming up with other weighty Hollywood-ready character, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade. As described by Cadillac, "King will tell the 'Make Your Way' story of success achieved through boundary-pushing strength and determination in a special spot with the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade, which was introduced Feb. 4 in Hollywood."

"Cadillac has always represented success…there's a swagger, a sexiness, to the vehicles. There's also a realness and a sense of ambition that I identify with. Through sheer perseverance, I've found my way through doors some never thought possible. There's a real connection for me with Cadillac, and that is why I wanted to get involved," said King.

Two additional Cadillac commercials, "No Barriers" and "Finish Line," will air during the Oscars broadcast, each highlighting Cadillac's new vehicle lineup, which includes the new XT6 SUV and CT5 and CT4 sedans, while celebrating the grit of those who make their own way to success.

"Cadillac is inspired by those who have a passion for what's next," said Melissa Grady, Cadillac chief marketing officer. "They make their way by going through obstacles, not around them. Such unwavering self-determination pushes them to succeed and inspires others to do the same. That's the heart of 'Make Your Way' and the soul of Cadillac."

This is the seventh time Cadillac has been part of the Academy Awards broadcasts, which is second only to the Super Bowl in global viewership.

2023 Nissan Leaf pricing announced

Updated EV

Nissan is nearing the release of the Ariya, its first new EV in several years. Even so, the brand hasn't forgotten about its first mass-market EV, the Leaf. It was an early entrant in the space, and has been an efficient, affordable, commuter car for over a decade. The car got a mild facelift for 2023, with updated wheels and exterior styling accents. Today, Nissan announced pricing for the Leaf, which starts at just under $29,000.

2022 Nissan Altima: Three things to know

Comfortable midsize sedan

The Nissan Altima may not get the attention or the praise that the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord get, but it's a solid entry in an ultra-competitive segment. It's also one of few options in its class with available all-wheel drive. We spent a week with the 2022 Nissan Altima SR Midnight Edition with AWD and came away from the experience impressed. Here are three things to know about the car.

The 2022 Nissan Altima is a Good Value

With a starting price in the mid-$20,000 range and available all-wheel drive, it's hard to complain about value here. The Altima is still reasonably priced at the top end, where it maxes out at around $35,000 before options and fees. That's a great value for a spacious, comfortable car like the Altima, and with all-wheel drive it's a great all-weather commuter.

2022 Altima Interior Space and Comfort are Generous

It's easy to ignore Nissan's Zero Gravity seats as another marketing buzzword, but they are legitimately comfortable and supportive in a way that not many others are. Available leather upholstery and contrast stitching give the interior an upscale feel, but even lower trims' cloth upholstery feels nice and works well from a visual standpoint. Up front, there's room for both passengers to stretch out, and the driver won't feel cramped on leg or headroom. Back-seat passengers get a similar treatment, as there's plenty of space for adults and kids. Parents will find an easy time loading and unloading car seats as well.

The 2023 Nissan Altima Gets an Update

Nissan is refreshing the Altima for 2023 with a facelift, new tech, and better safety features. The new car will go on sale in the fall of 2022 and will come in several trims, including one with Nissan's truck VC-Turbo engine. The Altima's most noticeable update will be its front fascia, which is all-new for 2023. Nissan gives the car a fresh grille design that varies depending on the trim, and LED headlights will be standard. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and the Altima is available with all-wheel drive, ProPilot Assist, and more.
