A bespoke fabric was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Range Rover.

Savile Row tailor Henry Poole & Co has created a unique jacket fabric to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Land Rover Range Rover. The pattern was designed by Prof Gerry McGovern OBE, Land Rover’s Chief Creative Officer.

Inspired by the original Range Rover color palette of Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold, and Davos White, just 120 meters of the dog-tooth check lambswool fabric has been produced. That’s enough to make just 50 bespoke jackets.

The fabric is woven in Somerset, England, by a Fox Brothers & Co Ltd.

Henry Poole will create the men and women’s jackets from the Range Rover fabric, tailored to meet each customer’s individual requirements.

The same colors that inspired the jacket pattern also are present on the Range Rover Fifty, a limited edition model that also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the SUV. Land Rover is building the special model on the Range Rover Autobiography SUV. It rides on unique 22-inch wheels, has “Fifty” script badging on the exterior and interior, and comes with a number of bespoke accents. Each SUV will be individually numbered.

Buyers can get the Range Rover Fifty in either a standard or long wheelbase body design. Customers can choose from four paint jobs: Carpathian Grey, Rosello Red, Aruba, and Santorini Black. A very limited quantity of models in Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold, and Davos White heritage paint colors will be offered by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations.

Just 1,970 Range Rover Fifty SUVs will be sold.

The partnership with Henry Poole & Co isn’t the first fashionable endeavor Land Rover has been a part of this year. The Land Rover x Elliot Brown collaboration created one of the world’s toughest watches. The watches were worn by four rowers – Oliver Dawe-Lane, Arthur Chatto, Harry Lidgely, and Charles Bromhead – who successfully rowed around 2,000 miles of U.K. coastline to raise money for the British Red Cross and JustOneOcean, an environmental charity.
