The exclusive Battista Anniversario celebrates the 90th anniversary of the bespoke coachbuilding company.

Automobili Pininfarina has debuted a new all-electric luxury supercar celebrating its 90th anniversary. Only Battista Anniversario models will be built and each will start at €2.6 million.

Each Battista Anniversario will be hand-crafted at the home of Pininfarina in Cambiano, Turin, Italy.

“For 90 years, the Pininfarina name has been at the forefront of automotive design and performance, and the Battista perfectly encapsulates these values,” said Michael Perschke, CEO, Automobili Pininfarina. “This ultimate expression of Battista, the Anniversario, is the distillation of everything that the brand has stood for in the past and which we now strive for in the future, creating a new pinnacle of desirability for electric cars.”

Each of the five models will be finished in a combination of three of the coachbuilder’s signature colors, new and old: Bianco Sestriere, the never-seen-before Grigio Antonelliano, Iconica Blu. Each car will take several weeks to paint as the color is applied layer by later by artisans. The body is disassembled and reassembled three times so pinstripes in the three separate colours can be hand-painted directly onto the body.

“Battista Anniversario features one of the most complex paint finishes in the world,” said Luca Borgogno, Chief Design Officer, Automobili Pininfarina. “The process of creating such a finish is akin to a great artist completing an Old Master painting. The result is more than just a visual work of art. Styling, balanced with ultimate performance, produces a genuine Pininfarina: the beauty of power and the power of beauty.”

Each Battista Anniversario comes equipped with the new Furiosa package, which will be made available on any model in the Battista lineup moving forward. The package includes a evised carbon fibre front splitter, side blades and rear diffuser.

To add a touch of specialty to the anniversary model, those parts are finished in a two-tone combination of signature carbon and carbon tinted with Iconica Blu with pinstripe in Bianco Sestriere.

Besides the package, each Batista Anniversario is finished with a bespoke rear wing, rear aero fins, and other unique details. It is 10 kg lighter than the Battista thanks to a new wheels design, which moves to center-lock forge aluminum wheels that are now 21-inches as opposed to the previous model’s 20-inchers.

Buyers also get unique seats that are finished in sustainably-crafted black leather and black Alcantara. An engraved chassis plate, headlight engraving, “Anniversario” script on the side wings, black anodized dedication door plaques, “Pininfarina 90″logos, and a specially engraved chassis plate between the seats of the coupe finish the details.

Like the Battista, the car is powered by a 120 kWh battery that is paired with four electric motors that generate 1,900 horsepower. This makes the model quicker than a Formula 1 car, getting from zero to 100 km/h in less than two seconds.
