With optimized throttle response and a whopping 7655 bhp, the McLaren 765LT is the latest member of the McLaren Super Series family. It the newest iteration of the Longtail MacLarens and represents the most dynamic and engaging LT model McLaren has offered to date.

The new model builds on the successes of the McLaren 720S. The British automaker has given the model advanced carbon fiber technologies and bespoke carbon fiber LT body panels. It weighs 176 pounds less than the 720S.

Its Super Series chassis has been tuned to be more engaging and the drive dynamics updated with hardware and software affiances. The car rides 5 mm lower in the front than the 720S and its front track is 6 mm wider. The springs are lighter weight in this model and roll stiffness has increased.

An extended front splitter and elevated active rear wing keep the car grounded, delivering 25 percent greater ground force than in the 720S. The wing works to assist the car's braking, allowing for softer brakes and better street driving performance - they're 60 percent stronger than traditional carbon ceramic discs and have four times the thermal conductivity. McLaren has employed Formula 1-inspired integrated caliper cooling in the model.

McLaren has forged a new 10-spke Ultra-Lightweight alloy wheel for the model that matches with titanium wheel bolts, and bespoke Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. The weight savings for the wheels versus shoe 720S's is 48.5 pounds.

Buyers get to choose from 13 available paint jobs.

It has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine under the hood that achieves 755 bhp and 590 pound-feet of torque. The seven-speed sequential shift gearbox is paired with the engine. Drivers can choose from Comfort, Sport, or Track drive modes.

McLaren claims the car can get to 60 seconds from a standstill in 2.7 seconds. To go from zero to 124 mpg it takes just 7.2 seconds.

McLaren has equipped the car with LT-specific springs and dampers. There's also stiffer engine mounts, which should help reduce some of the vibration felt in the cabin. The car has a full-titanium, quad-exit exhaust.

The motorsport-inspired interior design features carbon fiber racing seats, carbon fiber center tunnel, exposed carbon fiber floor, and Alcantara upholstery throughout. McLaren is offering the car with the buyer's choice of eight color schemes.

The light-weighting of the model has caused McLaren to remove many of the comfort and convenience features in the model, though the automaker is quick to point out that they can be added for a price. A standard 8-inch infotainment touch screen makes the cut, but an audio system, rearview camera, and park assist are options.

Just 765 individually numbered cars will be available to order globally. Pricing announced shortly. Deliveries will start in September.

Lexus is teasing the forthcoming debut of the 2021 IS.

On June 9, Lexus will reveal its redesigned IS sedan. The IS had been scheduled to be unveiled at the New York International Auto Show in April but that show was postponed, then cancelled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, the luxury arm of Toyota distributed a teaser image of the new car.

The IS is the smallest of the three Lexus sedans offered for sale in the U.S. It slots below the ES and LS, but is larger than the Lexus RC, a two-door sports coupe.

Lexus has sold the luxury sports car since 1999.Though the car has often bee positioned as sporty, it usually only hits those notes when compared to the Lexus ES. If rumors are to be believed, the next-generation IS will be sportier than the last. How? That remains, for now, largely unseen.

Speculation has mounted saying that the car could have the powerful V8 engine that is found in the 2020 Lexus RC F. However, it's more than likely we'll see a four-cylinder base engine (possibly electrified). If Lexus was to present a hybrid powertrain, it might choose to go the same route its sister company Toyota did with the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime, delivering the sportiest model with the highest amount of horsepower as a plug-in hybrid.

There's likely to be a 2021 Lexus IS F-Sport variant as well. F-Sport models traditionally get a tuning upgrade and sportier features like larger, intricate wheels and sport seats. These models typically retail for thousands more than the base model.

The teaser image distributed by the automaker reveals a new company rear light signature that spans the width of the entire backside of the car connecting the taillights. Adjusting the brightness on the image in Photoshop reveals a body that is more athletic than the previous generation and has a rear diffuser.

Turn up brightness on the shadows and vertical rear lights are revealed, pointing to where dual exhaust pipes might be. The fenders become more pronounced and the grounded look of the car becomes more evident.

At last year's LA Auto Show, Toyota debuted the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime, a plug-in variant of the best-selling SUV in the U.S. Now that the model is about to go on sale, the Japan-based automaker has revealed how much it will cost.

The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) will have a starting MSRP of $38,100. Toyota will offer the model in just two grades: SE and XSE. Those two trim levels denote the SUV's underlying sporty drive characteristics according to traditional Toyota nomenclature.

While most PHEVs are designed to sacrifice power for range, the RAV4 doesn't. Its power plant is able to achieve 302 horsepower and can get to 60 mph off the line in 5.7 seconds. Toyota says that time makes the RAV4 Prime the quickest four-door model in their lineup.

The RAV4 Prime has 42 miles of all-electric range. Americans travel, on average, about 30 miles per day to run errands around town so theoretically whomever owns the SUV would be able to do all their errands without using a drop of gasoline. This range also gives the SUV the distinction of having the highest all-electric range of any plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) SUV on the market.

Toyota estimates that the SUV will achieve 94 MPGe combined. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, which is also a PHEV, gets 90 MPGe. The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport PHEV gets 42 MPGe and the 2020 Volvo XC60 PHEV gets 57 MPGe. Each model listed comes standard with all-wheel drive.

All Toyota RAV4 models come equipped with standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0.
