There's track-centric sports cars and then there's the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition. Based on the Vantage that serves as an Official Safety Car of Formula 1, the Vantage F1 Edition brings track-honed performance to the open road (or the crowded street - it depends on where you drive it).

The new Vantage is the pinnacle of the Vantage lineup. It benefits from the chassis and aerodynamics improvements that have been put in place to engineer the safety car.

It comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that has been enhanced to achieve 527 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque. Aston Martin has paired the engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Peak torque holds at the top of the curve longer than is traditional to increase tractability and in-gear urgency.

The car's structural stiffness was increased to improve steering feel and response. The internal workings of the car's campers have increased their effective force range. This change improves the car's ability to crest hills without losing performance capability.

An increased rear spring rate and lateral stiffness help to sharpen turn-in and increase traction to ensure that the back end's response complements the front end's action.

The steering system has been edited for driver clarity. It now offers greater feedback to the driver to help create a pure drive experience.

The rig rides on 21-inch Satin Black Diamond Turned alloy wheels. That's up form the 20-inchers on the traditional Vantage model. Each wheel is wrapped in Pirelli low-profile tires that were specially developed specifically for the F1 Edition car.

At top speed, the Vantage F1 Edition's aero kit is designed to deliver 200 kilograms more downforce than the traditional Vantage. The new rear wing on the car is a big part of that. A full-width front splitter, front dive planes, and underbody turning vanes also aid with the aerodynamics.

Aston Martin will sell you the car as a coupe or a roadster. A vaned grille is standard on all models, as are 2x2 Twill Carbon Fiber exterior accents and a quad exhaust.

Buyers can get their car in an Aston Martin Racing Green paint job or choose Jet Black or Lunar White. All models have a Solid Matte Dark Grey racing graphic. The interior has Obsidian Black Leather and Phantom Grey Alcantara upholstery and trim, with a choice of Lime Green, Obsidian Black, Wolf Grey or Spicy Red contrast stripe and stitching.

The new Vantage F1 Edition is on sale now with a recommended retail price from £142,000 in the UK and €162,000 in Germany with deliveries scheduled to begin in May 2021.

Marie was a little bit country and Donny was a little bit rock and roll. The design of the redesigned 2022 Honda Civic Sedan looks a little bit modern and a little bit vintage - and it's all a heck of a lot less polarizing than the previous generation.

Today Honda has offered the first official fully lighted glimpse of the 11th-generation Civic, which is set to officially debut April 28. The design of the model was previewed last year with the Civic Prototype.

Honda openly admits that the look of the new Civic was inspired by the last. Head into the trove of internet photos of the fourth- and fifth-generation Civic to see parallels in design. Honda said that designers upheld Honda's human-centric design philosophy in the new model while also increasing the safety.

The result is a car that looks very much like a sedan but still retains sporty attributes. It also looks more like the Accord in this generation than the last. In the photo provided by Honda, the new Civic is in Touring trim level form.

Honda said that the car's interior design, which they haven't shown photos of yet, is "uncluttered", has "simple ergonomics", and delivers "exceptional visibility".

The 2022 Civic will arrive on dealership lots this summer.

Also this summer, the Honda Civic Tour will return for its 20th season. There will be two stops on the virtual tour that will be livestreamed on the Honda Stage YouTube channel. The first event will start at 5:00 p.m. PT, on April 28. The virtual concert event on Twitch will also give Civic Tour fans a special first look at the all-new 2022 Honda Civic Sedan around 6:00 p.m. PT, leading into the performance.

As previously announced, the all-new Civic Hatchback will follow Civic Sedan production by several months. Details about Civic Hatchback, to be manufactured by Honda in the United States for the first time in its history, will follow later this year. The Civic Hatchback will be built at the company's Indiana auto plant.

If you're not rich enough to have an automaker completely craft you a one-off from scratch, the next best thing is to take full advantage of the company's vehicle customization options. There's usually a special devision that takes care of this. At Aston Martin, it's Q. Bentley has Mulliner and Porsche offers up their Manufaktur department.

Lambroghini's Ad Personam customization program offers five key areas where customers can make the vehicle they order unique. Specialists assist customers at every step of the process, taking into consideration their demands as craftspeople create the vehicle that's ordered.

The choice of 348 unique colors.

Though not every color is available in every region of the world, there are 348 total options offered to customers. Americans tend to be the most demanding, requesting 20 percent of the custom colors that Ad Personam offers up, followed by customers in Asia Pacifica and EMEA region.

Take the car to the next level with diamond dust paint.

All that glitters isn't always gold. Sometimes it's diamonds. Ad Personam offers Lamborghinis with a new transparent paint that includes micro crystals in the form of diamond dust. This dust undergoes a unique processing technique and is applied to the bodywork of the supercar, giving it an iridescent sheen that changes color according to reflections of the light at that moment.

Add a unique work of art.

Lamborghini's talented upholstery department has seen it all. In addition to the typical orders, they're able to take special requests for unique decorations and embroidery, from the seat logo, hand-stitched rather than hot-embossed, to the initials embroidered inside the passenger compartment.

Some of the most creative options requested by buyers include creating branches and peach blossoms, portraits of the customer or their beloved pet, designs in street art style with the bull, and "splash-effect" color (like in the Aventador S by Skyler Grey), to images of the skyline of their favorite city.
