The first 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance model out of the gate will wear the Launch Edition badge and come loaded with a host of premium features on top if the rip-roaring V8 that it has under the hood.
The 2022 Lexus IS F Sport Performance Launch Edition, whose name is isn’t also long as the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition moniker but close, only will have 500 serialized units produced. It will be sold exclusively in North America.
For its TBD MSRP, buyers get the same 5.0-liter V8 engine that’s in the IS 500 and generates 472 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. The muscle car rides on 19-inch split-seven-spoke forged alloy Matte Black BBS wheels from the IS F Sport Dynamic Handling Package. The wheels are each four pounds lighter than the traditional 19-inch IS F Sport wheels.
The 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance and IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition are expected to arrive in dealerships later this autumn.
