Reporting by The Detroit News lays out the way that the 2022 GMC Hummer EV will debut. It will make its first public appearance during the first game of the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series.

According to the report, General Motors has purchased commercial airtime they can use to show the truck as part of a larger virtual reveal strategy that will include content across multiple platforms. The World Series will be aired on Fox. The company will also show off the Hummer EV on NBC's "The Voice" and YouTube.

The first World Series game is set for October 20 and teams are currently playing for entry into the event. On the American League side, the Tampa Bay Rays are pitted against the New York Yankees while the Houston Astros facing competition from the Oakland Athletics (A's) for entry into the American League Championship Series (ALCS).

Over in the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers are taking on the San Diego Padres for a spot in the National League Championship Series. Also vying for entry are the Miami Marlins who are going head-to-head with the Atlanta Braves.

The winner of the ALCS games will play the winner from the NLCS in the World Series.

As with the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Bronco, and Volkswagen ID.4, customers will be able to reserve a GMC Hummer EV online immediately following the reveal.

We already know a lot about what to expect from the Hummer EV. It will come in two flavors - truck and SUV. This is the same formula that Rivian is following with its R1T and R1S models. It is expected that the Hummer will go head-to-head with the Rivian models as well as the all-electric Ford F-150 and Tesla Cybertruck when it goes on sale in 2022.

GM will build the truck in Detroit on its new flexible platform and power the model with the company's own Ultium battery, which will give it 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque. The models are said to get from zero to 60 mph in three seconds.

Jeep Jamboree events allow Jeep drivers to off-road and enjoy the comraderie that comes with owning the same style of vehicle.

The dates and locations of the 2021 Jeep Jamboree schedule have been announced. The roster includes 31 events, with a new event in Ohio making the calendar as well as a three-day event in Missouri.

Jeep Jamborees are weekend events that have been a part of the Jeep lifestyle since 1953. It was then, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, that Mark A. Smith (now a member of the Off-Road Hall of Fame and the Explorers Club) arranged an off-roading expedition across the Rubicon Trail. The following year Willys, the original Jeep manufacturer got involved and the rest, as they say, is history.

Each Jeep Jamboree is a family-oriented four-wheel drive adventure that allows for fun for everyone from novices to experts. Organizers advise that any Jeep with a 4-LO transfer case can participate. The style of Jamboree varies by event: Classic, Select, Signature, and Adventure. Be sure you research the event style ahead of registering so you know what to expect, including the cost, which varies by event.
