Just 25 versions of this $136,800, 1994 RS2 Avant-inspired 2021 Audi wagon will be made
The 2021 Audi RS 6 Avant is a coveted piece of sheetmetal, not just for its wagon body style, which drives enthusiasts wild, but also for its enthusiastic powertrain and dynamic handling. Add in the cool factor of a tribute edition and the message boards will have you fooled into thinking that this is the best car to debut this year.
The new version of the high-performance five-door is limited to 25 miles and brings design elements of the 1994 RS2 Avant forward. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that reaches 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The engine propels the wagon from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
The Tribute edition comes standard with a sport exhaust. Audi also adds the Driver Assistance Package (adaptive cruise control and side assist), the Executive Package (heated rear seats, head-up display, and power soft-closing doors), and a Bang Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System as standard equipment.
Unique design elements include a Nogaro Blue pearl effect exterior paint color with black optic accents on the grille, side blades, rear diffuser and black roof rails. The side mirrors match the wagon's body color.
It rides on standard 22-inch five V-spoke trapezoid design cast aluminum wheels in silver with summer tires. The steel brake calipers are painted red.
The car's cabin features carbon twill structure inlays and Denim blue contrast stitching. There are Valcona S Sport seats, perforated steering wheel, RS floor mats, and the leather elements along the upper and lower dashboard. The front seats also include lower seat panels in leather with Denim blue contrast stitch.
The 2021 RS 6 Avant "RS Tribute edition" is on sale now in the U.S. with an MSRP of $136,800.
